What began as an idea I wanted to do a children's alphabet book. I found Megastar Publishing through Linkedin by chance and reached out from my home in South Africa to Megastar. Pamela was interested in the concept but insisted it would have to be a book that went beyond the thousands of A,B,C books for kids on the market. We met often over Zoom, and as she got to know me and my Bemba heritage, the manuscript grew, evolved and finally bloomed into the Alphabet and Picture Dictionary incorporating animals only indigenous to Africa with the letters of the alphabet, and so much more. I am so proud to say," K.A. Mulenga's A Is For Africa - A Picture Dictionary For Young Readers, since it's first publishing in 2024, has been a wonderful success on so many fronts.
